Here is the History Channel's coverage of the Plague from its "History's Turning Points" series. It's quite good, makes important points about the plague's origins, its spread, how the disease affected people, and how individuals and the church responded. It might even help with your homework.
Frankly, though, I much prefer this shorter piece which, in less than 3 minutes, leaves a strong impression of the plague's most important impact. Thanks "Horrible Histories".
